The state government, following objection by local Congress leaders and employees' union, on Monday stepped back on its decision of phasing out 110-megawatt capacity units 1 and 2 of Kota Thermal Power Station (KTPS) from June 30. It decided not to shut down the units till the expiry of its environmental approval on December 31, 2022.
